Membership:
Joining Fee: $5
Annual Membership: $50 payable at the Annual Meeting held in April.
The Geelong Guild is affiliated with the Handweavers and Spinners Guild of Victoria Inc.
Meetings:
Guild members meet each Tuesday at the Highton Guide Hall from 10am to 2pm. This is a work day where members ply their craft and share ideas in a relaxed atmosphere.
The weaving group meet on the fourth Tuesday of the month.
A business meeting is held on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 10.30 am.
Workshops:
Workshops are conducted on one or two days of each month using visiting tutors or drawing on the talent within the guild.
Workshops have included Navajo Plying, Candle Wicking, several Dyeing Workshops, Woolen Spinning/Long Draw, Creating Novelty Yarns. Free form knitting and Magic Square technique.
Library:
The Guild library contains a wide variety of books and magazines as well as videos which are available to hire.
Newsletter:
A monthly newsletter is published which reports on activities and keeps members informed of future events.

Open Day:
This is held every second year. This enables the guild to showcase the work of members and to make available a range of products.
Equipment for Hire:
The Guild has an extensive range of equipment available for hire including spinning wheels, looms, carders, dye pots etc. The Guild also has a range dyes for sale.
Equipment Donations:
The Guild is happy to receive any donations of spinning or weaving equipment such as Spinning Wheels or Looms in good working condition. This equipment will be re-homed to students & new members. Click here to get in touch.
