2010 Scarf Exchange

The aims of the scarf exchange are to preserve the skills of spinning, weaving, knitting, crochet and felting, to expand our woolcraft network and to challenge each crafter to produce their best original work.

The Geelong Handweavers & Spinners Guild Inc. hosted the 2010 Scarf Exchange.

A very successful exhibition was held at The Geelong Wintergarden Gallery in October 2010.
We had over 157 Crafters enter. Some created 2 or more items and others demonstrated unique skills and techniques in spinning, weaving, felting, crochet, and dyeing.
We were pleased to meet many enthusiastic crafters, some even travelled from interstate to visit the Exhibition.
We have compiled a history of the Scarf Exchange in Australia. Click here to read more.
Many thanks to the members of Geelong Handweavers & Spinners Guild who did a wonderful job of displaying and manning the Exhibition.
See below for some photos from the exhibition. For more photos visit our Picasa Web Album

We wish future groups success in hosting their Scarf Exchanges, we hope you have as much fun as we did.
